Home Heritage Days in Tornio

Home Heritage Days are a celebration of home and local culture. The event will be held in Tornio, Finland on August 28–30, 2026. The aim of the Home Heritage Days is to celebrate Tornio's long history and cultural heritage, to foster the appreciation for the region, and to make Tornio known both locally and nationally.

The theme of the Heritage Days this year is "Boundless Cultural Heritage," and a diverse program will be organized throughout Tornio and its surrounding areas on both sides of the border over the course of three days. We want to reach out to locals, residents of neighboring municipalities, visitors, and tourists. The event brings together professionals and enthusiasts working in the field of local heritage and cultural heritage nationwide.

I was asked to create visuals for the event that would suit well together with the border city’s existing brand. As a result I made a fish inspired logo in snow/forest/sea colourscale paired with some traditional typography. 1st round of the designs also included designing stickers and pins for the event.
