Respect G.O.A.T.
2026
A ~40 m² mural for Street Art Fest Koper, painted in September 2026 on the facade of Dušan Bordon Primary School in Semedela, Koper, Slovenia. I was invited to paint a joint mural at the school. The theme was a big one: mutual respect, tolerance, cooperation and nonviolence.
Painting for a school changes how you think about a wall. Children see it every single day, so the message had to be clear, friendly and impossible to miss. That’s how the text became the centre of the mural: Respect G.O.A.T. It’s a pun on the word “goat” (greatest of all time), but it also gives the mural a playful punch that children can remember.
The goat is not random either. Koper started as a settlement on an island in the Gulf of Koper, and the Roman settlers called it Insula Caprea, “Goat Island”. So the goat stands for the city itself. And since this is Slovenia, he is standing on a tiny, tiny Triglav mountain. The colours come loosely from Koper’s coat of arms. Yellow stripes are rays of sunshine, and blue is the sea and sky. I made the text orange to give it the weight it deserves.
In the news: I even made it to national television while painting! Watch the news feature here.
It’s for the children. ✌️ A big thank you to Center mladih Koper for the production and for having me.
